Dynamo, Texas Children’s Health Plan to host Fútbol Fiesta -
First 100 kids receive free tickets to a Houston Dynamo home
game
HOUSTON, TX - (September 26, 2011) - Texas Children’s Health
Plan and the Houston Dynamo will host their second Fútbol Fiesta
of 2011 on Thursday, September 29, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at
Milby Park, 2001 Central St., Houston 77017. This free event is
open to the community.
Dynamo players will attend to greet fans, sign autographs, and
more. The first 100 children in attendance will receive a free
ticket to an upcoming Dynamo game. Fútbol Fiesta is designed to
bring local communities together for soccer-related games and
activities.
Team mascot Dynamo Diesel and the Dynamo Girls will be on hand.
The event will include pick-up soccer games, an inflatable
soccer field, music, face painting, spin and balloon artists,
and a raffle for Dynamo prizes. Staff from Texas Children’s
Health Plan’s community outreach, maternal child, and disease
management programs will be available to provide wellness,
nutrition, safety, and CHIP and Medicaid information.
The event will also serve as a kick-off for the Houston
Metropolitan Area Youth Soccer League—a league supported by
Councilman James Rodriguez and the City of Houston Parks and
Recreation

Texas Children’s Health Plan was
founded in 1996 by Texas Children’s Hospital. It is the nation's
first health maintenance organization (HMO) created just for
children. Texas Children’s Health Plan provides STAR/Medicaid
and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to pregnant
women, teens, children, and adults in Houston and surrounding
areas.
